I'm in northern Michigan today at our vacation home and just sitting here looking out the window at a beautiful sunshine day. Hopefully I can get off this computer for a while and go out and enjoy the day. Maybe do some scouting for shed antlers, see some deer and turkey, look for some Morale Mushrooms and then maybe get a few things done on my honey do list.

I am just breaking even on the Website because I have the prices set so low. I'm not complaining, it's just part of doing business and getting the website to be the first choice of all my outdoor friends. It's worth the sacrifice and I hope you all take advantage of the great discount prices. I went to a national wrestling tournament Sunday because my grandson was wrestling. This was a national event with kids from all over the country. He took first place in his weight class of 218 and now has the status of All American. This coming fall he will be in his senior year and we are expecting big things for him. This past year he was 4th. at state at 189 pounds and we are expecting first this coming year.
He was also voted all conference running back in football last year so college scouts pay attention to his senior year. He has changed schools for his senior year and is looking to make a great impression on his new school and the scouts. I'm a very proud grandpa. He will be playing for the Lowell Red Arrows of Michigan. Thanks to my grandson Taylor for not only working hard at being a great athlete but for just being a great young man.
I am working hard at my Online Sporting Goods Store so I can help him in anyway I can financially in his future. We're hoping he will get a full ride scholarship but in the event he don't I will do whatever I can to make college happen for him.

There's 2 things I want to learn but have no one to show me. First, when it comes to wild turkey, how to you clean them. Do you pluck the feathers? What is the process step by step? What is the best way to cook them?I hear they only taste good deep fried. I would like to get into turkey hunting but have no one to show me the ropes. I can probably shoot one OK but it's after that I need help with. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.
Secondly, I am going to take up Walleye fishing and really know nothing about it. What are the best baits, lures or methods? Deep water or shallow? Trolling, drifting or casting? I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Are there any websites to help with these sports?

Just sitting here watching my hunting shows on TV and watching the beautiful sunshine day unfold outside my window. The birds are at the feeders. There's a crisp chill in the air in northern Michigan. I'm feeling blessed and lucky to be alive and enjoying Gods gifts.
I am really fortunate to enjoy the life I want to live including the great outdoors and all the recreation. I am also fortunate to be able to have a job doing what I love and sharing that with my fellow outdoorsman and friends.
I get daily emails and phone calls regarding the outdoor products I sell and very often the conversation gets into the outdoor sports and lifestyle. It's great to talk to sportsman from all over the country and hear their stories, view points and anything else they want to share. One thing I've found is that a person that is involved in the outdoors is always very friendly and full of life.
Thanks to all of you who share your lives and adventures with me and for supporting us. We hope you will remain not only customers but life long friends. We also hope that if you have any comments or suggestions for our website that you will please share them with us.
